Organized Sports

The purpose of the after school sports program is to promote team spirit and fair play, to teach responsible physical fitness, and to develop large and fine motor skills. Students in grades 5-8 may participate in Diocese of San Jose Catholic Athletic League (DSJCAL) athletic programs. All sports are open to new and experienced athletes.

Students are expected to be scholar athletes and maintain a ‘C’ or better in core subjects, a ‘B’ or higher in all conduct, effort, and homework areas on report cards to be eligible to participate. A $70 sport fee is charged (per sport) to underwrite the costs of referees, equipment, facilities, and uniforms. There is a $15 late fee for forms turned in after the deadline. No student may participate until all the required  Athletic Handbook Forms have been submitted. All sports fees will be charged to the families Smart Tuition account.
Saint Lawrence encourages participation by all in the following sports:

FALL

BOYS: Flag Football
GIRLS: Volleyball, Soccer

WINTER

BOYS: Basketball, Soccer
GIRLS: Basketball

SPRING

BOYS: Volleyball, Track
GIRLS: Softball, Track

SPRING Sports registration deadline is Monday, February 11, 2019 by 5:00pm.

Late registration deadline is Thursday, February 14, 2019 by 5:00pm.

Coaches schedule approximately two practices a week (between the 3-5pm window) and one or two games a week are played at Saint Lawrence or at the opponents’ schools. All interested students who attend practices and games will be on the team and will have playing time.

All athletic fees will be charged to the student/family’s Smart Tuition account.
